Healing Faith by Jennyfer Browne

Fleeing an abusive relationship, Kate Hill finds herself stranded and hiding in a quiet and guarded community of Amish in rural Iowa. When she meets a troubled Amish man, she learns that with a leap of faith, one can discover love and kindness. Nathan Fisher is an innocent Amish man questioning his faith after the loss of his family. He discovers his guiding angel when an English woman becomes his inspiration to his heartsick soul. Is she temptation to lead him astray, or is she his salvation. Together they will discover that love can break down boundaries in cultural differences, and heal broken faith.

Healing Faith is a story about more than just two characters finding love, but also finding their faith being renewed.

For Nathan, it was finding faith in not only his beliefs, but in God and himself.

And for Katherine, it was about finding faith in love, people, and family. It was also about her finding her own inner strength.

In a way both Nathan and Katherine lost their families, only to find it again in a home with so much love.

After Nathan loses his whole family to illness, he feels lost and alone. This is until a very unlikely woman finds herself in a  very unlikely location.

By a combination of circumstances Katherine ends up finding herself hiding in the middle of an Amish community. She never imagined that when she ran away from her past she’d find her future.

Not much more I can say about this story without giving it away. What I can say is that when I won the ARC for this story I was so excited that I stopped in the middle of the book I was reading to read this, and didn’t put it down until I finished.

I enjoyed the story so much that I contacted the author, Jennyfer Browne, and requested a signed hard copy. This is one book that I will feel honored to have on my bookshelf, and encourage anyone who will listen to purchase it.

I wish Ms. Browne all the luck in the world and look forward to the next book in this series.

La Cala by N. Wood

When Lance McCarthy chose Ibiza for his holiday destination, he didn't expect to spend the week with Malachy Walsh, an Irish man dressed in blue striped pajamas.
La Cala is an erotic short story that may well bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye.

Words cannot describe what this story has done to me. Within a short period of time, N. Wood has painted a beautiful picture of love, laughter, discovery, mystery, and hope. You can’t help but fall in love with Lance as you follow his journey to the island of Ibiza. And when he meets Malachy, well… let’s just say things get really entertaining.

N. Wood did such a brilliant job describing the atmosphere so well that you felt the island all around you. The passion between Lance and Malachy was so rich that you felt every whispered word, every touch, and even at the very end you couldn’t stop yourself from shedding a tear.

I think the only negative thing I can say about this story is that I wished there would be a second, third, and fourth installment. LOL! But that is just the selfish reader in me.

I wish I could get into more detail, because my review does not do this story justice, but I really want you to go buy this story and read it for yourself.
